SAY YES MURANO – THE NEW WEDDING DESTINATION

Earlier this month from 16 to 17 November, Hyatt Centric Murano Venice hosted “Say Yes – Murano – The New Wedding Destination” in collaboration with Italy for Weddings. This educational event brought together selected top professionals of the wedding community for sharing ideas and inspiration.

A two-day full-immersion in the world of Orange Blossoms that amazed all participants and introduced them to the secrets and treasures of Murano conceived as a fairy-tale wedding destination.

The event began with a visit of the hotel and its event spaces that for the occasion were transformed into a temporary exhibition venue for enchanting ball gown wedding dresses by Anna Spose Padova atelier. From corset-style with floral bodice and long sleeves, dresses with  lace motifs that gracefully cascade down the skirt as reminiscent of Burano lace creations, to those with tulle and subtle A-line skirt, the 3 wedding dresses followed one another in fanciful sequences.

The following wedding-themed Spritz masterclass added a special touch of Venetian flair to the whole experience. Under the guidance of our barman Stan, the wedding planners tried their hands at making the iconic and timeless Venetian aperitif in its classic Select formula and then by revisiting the ingredients to create a “Mr.” version dedicated to the Groom and “Mrs.” version dedicated to the Bride.

The journey into the Venetian culinary tradition continued with an intimate gala dinner at Osteriva restaurant where guests were welcomed by a spectacular imperial table embellished with Davide Penso‘s glass seaweeds creations, the lights of a dozen candles and the gourmet delights prepared by the hotel Chef. The enchanting voice of the singer Mavia made the atmosphere even more magical.

The highlight of the second day definitely was the visit to Carlo Moretti atelier: a veritable treasure trove of glass artworks. All participants were guided to the discovery of excellent handcrafted creations, steeped in the island’s centuries-old history and traditions.
